About Me

McKayla Murphy is a self-taught, acrylic artist from Boston, Ma. 

 

She has sold her original paintings at silent auctions as well as commissioned a variety of paintings for friends and family. 

 

"The creative process for me is one that feels both natural and emotional. The majority of my works are inspired by a connection to interests throughout my life whether that be nature, animals, or simply a bottle of wine. Having a connection to the piece I am creating gives me appreciation to live in the moment and practice self-reflection and patience. Painting for me, similar to life, is constant movement, constant change. The creation process is purifying, allowing my emotions to spill out onto my canvas as a release."
